Small trees 1.5-3 m high, pale to dirty brown stem, cauliflorous from the base up, on branches to between the leaves, much branced, leaves pseudo-verticillate terminally, rather pergamentaceous, glossy bright to dark green above, pale green and nerves prominent below, pedicel pinkish-white, connivent anthers yellow, developing fruits cream with elongate red dots, turning pale green with red dots
