Habitat: Steep densely forested slope with relatively sparse understorey, some trees to 30 m, Afzelia, 2 spp. Combretum, large Erythrina common, understorey with Annonaceae prominent, many trees not recognised
Attributes: Small understorey tree c. 5 m high. Petals pendant at first pale green, becoming white and lengthening with age, base thickened, fawn, with band of purple immediately above it, anthers whitish, stigmas dirty cream. Smells like Liriodendron (rather foul). Beetle pollinated?
